Our trip to the UK, France and Belgium to commemorate the Australian Armed Forces involvement in the First World War. Performing at places such as the Arc de Triumph and Mennin Gate in Belgium plus touring and playing through out the battle fields of Flanders.
Favourite Drink:
Guinness and Tooheys Old (a compulsory drink of the drum corps)
Most Embarrassing Band Moment:
Stumbling along the corridores of Smith House in Armidale in the dark after a rather huge session on the Guinness with our Pipe Major only to discover the next day that the lights were on. (Maybe I should have opened my eyes !!!)

What I like most about playing for the Miners:
The efforts of all players to improve and strive to be a force in the contest arena, along with the strong bond between all not only as a band but socially as well.

How would you improve the pipe band scene: There is a need for more events for solo drummers. More people would be involved if they were going to get more than 1 play on the day. As you know pipers have at least 4 events they can play in and twice as many if they play up a grade.
